Product review – Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail polish

I brought this Rimmel 60 second nail polish the other day and I was pleasantly suprised how long it lasted!! I usually wear Barry M, Nails Inc. or Lancome nail varnish. The colour is really vibrant and summery, perfect for cheering you up in this cold damp weather! It was really cheap but I found it lasted really well. The only down side is it took a little while longer than 60 seconds to dry, but I don’t mind that. So all round its a thumbs up!

Autumn/Winter 2011 make-up looks: Burgundy Lips

Deep burgundy and red wine coloured lips are big news this season.

Wear it matte, pressed it onto the lips with you finger to give a just bitten look. Or if you feel like adding a bit of glamour to your look, wear it out in the evening with gloss over the top for that vamp look. Either way looks great!

Gucci a/w 2011

Personally, I love Lancome L’absolu Rouge 131 to achieve this look. Looks great on those with darker/olive complexions. If you have fairer skin try MAC Lipstick in Plumful or the super cheap ELF cosmetics Hypershine gloss in Berry Cherry for a hint of colour and its only £1.50! Make-up that cheap is just a crime!!

Photo shoot: Summer Princess Pt1

I have just received the images from my latest photo shoot Summer Princess. And I have to say I am really happy with them!

I had a good feeling about this shoot. Sometimes I go to a shoot and think ‘yea I have done a good job, the images will be good’ but the other times you just know that they are going to come back and be your best work yet.

On the day we didn’t start till late as Alex wanted the late evening sun. Alex and Bonnie set up the swing, adding vines and flowers from Alex’s garden, whilst I did Lizzie’s Hair and Makeup. We then set about making the head piece for Lizzie to wear… not hard at all! ha! The effect we got in the photos was so worth it though. The result… a carefree boho princess! Enjoy!!

Here are some behind the scenes photos from the portrait photo shoot I did with Alex Beadon a few weeks ago.

We had a wonderful client, Laura who was a natural behind the lens. With a little help from Noel (hair) and I (makeup), Laura looked stunning in her full length black dress. After spending the afternoon being completely pampered Laura went on to have her portrait taken by Alex.

New pics from this weekend’s photoshoot with Rebecca Louise Parker and Ania – Room3 model agency.

The brief was to do a few looks all in natural light. One to be really girly with rosy cheeks, pink lips and nude eyes. The next, pink shimmer eyes with lips to match and the final look was purple smoky eyes.
